Waltham, MA., - Axia Partners announced that John Ricketson has joined Axia Advisors, the firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions advisory practice. In addition to providing M&A and capital raising services, Axia manages a private equity fund that invests in smaller buyouts, recapitalizations and growth financings in the industrial technology sector. Axia Partners was founded in 2002.

Prior to joining Axia Partners, Ricketson was a principal at BRC, a boutique M&A advisory firm focused on industrial technology and automation markets. At BRC John managed over 40 transactions. On the strength of the BRC’s industry knowledge, the firm was able to provide extensive strategic advice to clients regarding growth strategies for revenue and equity value, as well as joint ventures and industry partnerships, and strategic capital sources. Prior to BRC, he spent seven years at Dynatech Corporation (now Acterna) in various senior management roles, including Director of Corporate Development for Dynatech, and Vice President Sales and Marketing for Parallax Graphics, a subsidiary. Prior to Dynatech, he had 10 years of engineering and sales management experience in the industrial automation market.
